 Literacy Autobiography Introduction Hello, everyone! My name is Salman Asif, and I am currently a junior student majoring in Biology at New Jersey City University. My interests include playing cricket, reading fiction, and exploring cultural traditions. I chose this class because I wanted to delve deeper into the role of literacy in shaping our identities and communities. Literacy has been a constant thread throughout my life, influencing how I learn, connect, and express myself. Early beginnings of Literacy My earliest memory of literacy is sitting on my father’s lap while he read stories to me from a colorful picture book. I vividly recall the excitement of turning pages and marveling at the illustrations, even before I could read the words. My parents played a pivotal role in introducing me to literacy.
